Students will sit with our own hageotah or storyteller and listen to tales of the Apache, Hopi, Navajo and
Tohono O'odham. Youngsters will also learn Indian signs and some Indian words associated with the storyteller.

Doctors of the Old West: Medicine Practices Used in the 1800's
This very different adventure begins just prior to the Civil War and culminates at the beginning of the 20th Century. Actual medical
instruments used during the Civil War are on display and the stundents very quickly realize just how primitive medical practics were during this period. Students will have the opprotunity to discuss modern and primitve
remedies for various illnesses. Also included are "Quacks", Folk Healers and medicine men This class is suitable for Grades 2-5.

PO1 Grades 9-12 Adventures: History of the Trans-Continental RR: Railway and Immigrant Life
This program will explore the influence of the Trans-Continental Railroad on the development of the Old West. Students will experience first-hand the
difficulties and hardships that rail workers dealt with. Students will also explore the influences brought by the Chinese immigrants.

Behind the Scenes: Sound, Lights & Special Effects
Find out what it's like behind a real working movie set by touring our Mission Set and Palace Saloon. Students will talk to a trained technician who will
describe the various tasks that make Old Tucson shows so amazing. They will understand what a Foley artist is and does, and also learn about soundboards, special effects, gunpowder and explosive effects.
